HOW TO BECOME AN INTENDED PARENT?
Imagine the sounds of a little one ringing through your home. That’s what we do for our intended parents. We find joy and excitement in helping people realize their dreams of parenthood.
Intended Parents Process
01. APPLY TO BECOME AN INTENDED PAREN
Either apply or book a free consultation online. We’ll then schedule a call or meeting to discuss your needs and answer any questions you may have in more details.
02. INTERVIEW WITH YOUR CASE MANAGER
We aim to deliver a fully personalized service to each of our intended parent families. So it is important for us to know your story. We will assign you a case manager as your point of contact and who will be your guiding hand during your journey with us. During the consultation, we will draft your plan of action and ensure that you are fully aware of the process so that you are prepared for this very exciting journey that you’re about to embark on. We’re able to provide consultations via video conferencing or at our offices in Los Angeles. We’re able to conduct meetings in English, Chinese and more.
Become an egg donor with Global Donor & Surrogacy Agency
If you would like to register as an egg donor with us, please complete the online registration form. Once your application has been received, we will be in touch with you to schedule a virtual or face-to-face meeting.
03. GETTING STARTED
GDSA would like to make this process as easy as possible. All we need to do is retain the service with us along with a small portion of the initial deposit.
04. REVIEW CANDIDATES AND SELECT MATCHES (SCRATCH OUT" SELECT MACHES
Once you register, you’ll have access to our candidate database where you can review their profiles.
05. REVIEW MEDICAL RECORDS
We carefully screen and qualify all of our candidates to ensure success. Our candidates undergo medical & psychological screening as well as criminal, financial and insurance checks.
06. MEET THE CANDIDATE
Once you find a profile that you connect with and feel good about we are able to set up a meeting between you and the candidate.
07. PHYSICAL SCREENING & MEDICAL CLEARANCE
The IVF doctor will order the surrogate or egg donor to undergo a physical screening. A medical clearance letter is then issued once the surrogate or egg donor has successfully completed and passed all the tests.
08. LEGAL DRAFT & CLEARANCE
Intended parents who do not have their own legal team, we will help you appoint a legal representative for yourself as well as the egg donor and/or surrogate. The attorney team will draft the legal contract, and once the contract has been signed and notarized, the attorney will issue the legal clearance letter to move forward.
09. EGG RETRIEVAL FROM EGG DONOR OR FROZEN EMBRYO TRANSFER
The IVF clinic will issue a medication admission calendar based on the menstrual cycle of the egg donor and/or surrogate. The calendar will guide the dates of egg retrieval and/or frozen embryo transfer.
10. PRENATAL CARE
During the entire 40 weeks pregnancy, your case manager will ensure and follow up with the surrogate to ensure that all appointments are met.
We also ensure that our intended parents receive assistance while attending the appointments electronically.
At around 10 to 12 weeks, the surrogate will be released to the OB doctor to be monitored until the birth is given. We assist the intended parents in gaining a birth order which is a legal document from the courts stating that the intended parents are the legal parents of the baby.
11. DELIVERY DAY
After the 30th week we will ensure that all is on track. We will then start making delivery day arrangements. We’ll be there on the day that your baby is born to make sure that all runs smoothly so that you can return home with your newborn.
